Indianapolis IN, Evelyn Magley CEO of The Basketball League announced a new expansion market for season #5 of Toledo OH. The new team is called the Toledo Glass City Basketball Club or BC for short.

This is the 2nd season for the club as they won the Premier Basketball League last season with an undefeated season.

The club is coached by Freddie Zamora who will be the first Hispanic head coach in TBL history and continues the league’s rich tradition of diversity and inclusion.

“We are thrilled to be joining TBL, their focus on community, treatment of players and level of play are all things that we were looking for. We will be scouring northwest Ohio, northeast Indiana & southwest Michigan for the best talent to go to market with.” – Andrew Lovelace TMO Toledo Glass City BC.

Toledo is in a great geographical location for TBL, tying together the (3) MI teams to (3) IN teams & (2) other OH teams.

“We are excited to have a group involved with TBL that understands our focus on community engagement and desire to be an asset to the market we reside in. There is little doubt this team will compete on the court from day one and will ultimately help create strong regional rivalries.” – Evelyn Magley CEO TBL

The Basketball League is currently in the playoffs as they finish it’s 4th season. In season 1 there were (8) teams, season 2 there were (10) teams, season 3 there were (12) teams and this season (29) teams started and (29) teams finished (remarkable during COVID). 2022 is expected to begin with (48) teams in 4 conferences, nationally.
